The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Valentin's Zeruko Mendigoitia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 10thth minute of the game Fernendo Pi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valentin's Godofredo Norzagaray was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernendo Pi in the 11th minute of play forced Valentin's goalkeeper Godofredo Norzagaray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 12 in the game by Edilberto Rio from a close distance when the talented Godofredo Norzagaray managed to make a qualified save. Valentin's players were relieved. Godofredo Norzagaray didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edilberto Rio went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Yiyo Zubicoeta hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Arriera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ostargi Lira came free, but Martino Griego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Arriera FC's Fernendo Pi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Fresco Garmendia charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fresco Garmendia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 minutes of play, Valentin's Ostargi Lira made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martino Griego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zeruko Mendigoitia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martino Griego having to interfere. Ostargi Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ostargi Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Fernendo Pi made the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Oinaz Loinaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 62 minutes, Ostargi Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valentin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ostargi Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Zeruko Mendigoitia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edilberto Rio might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godofredo Norzagaray. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edilberto Rio ran back to his position shaking his head. When Arriera FC's Edilberto Rio in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valentin's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Zeruko Mendigoitia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valentin's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeruko Mendigoitia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martino Griego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the match, Valentin's Ostargi Lira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martino Griego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Godofredo Norzagaray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernendo Pi, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Martino Griego made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Ostargi Lira sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute, Yiyo Zubicoeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godofredo Norzagaray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edilberto Rio in the 87th minute of play. Fernendo Pi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Godofredo Norzagaray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godofredo Norzagaray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edilberto Rio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernendo Pi in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godofredo Norzagaray saved Valentin from getting behind. Valentin's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
