Spectators: 7367 (Terracing: 5552, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 120) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Navarro Antiñano took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Ceferino Hornilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Latorre's Tobias Muñoyerro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tobias Muñoyerro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Navarro Antiñano, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, David Modino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Latorre's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Modino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Modinos short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Sancho Lomelin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pellas Ruisuarez took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tobias Muñoyerro. Tobias Muñoyerro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Sancho Lomelin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Modino in the 27th minute of play. Radomil Domalik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Sancho Lomelin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobias Muñoyerro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Hornilla in the 32nd minute of the match. Tobias Muñoyerro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Navarro Antiñano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Latorre's Gerazan Deza got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Ceferino Hornilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valentines's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceferino Hornilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Muñoyerro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Navarro Antiñano in the 42nd minute of play forced Latorre's goalkeeper Tobias Muñoyerro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sancho Lomelin made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Radomil Domalik sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Valentines were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when David Modino made the kick off in the second half. When Francesco Balbin fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valentines's protests and gave Francesco Balbin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, one of Valentines:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Valentines. Sancho Lomelin went to the wrong direction when Ekhi Villalambrus was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Latorre's goalkeeper Tobias Muñoyerro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ceferino Hornilla. Navarro Antiñano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Tobias Muñoyerro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radomil Domalik struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Sancho Lomelin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Latorre. Ceferino Hornilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Valentines's zone, Gerazan Deza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sancho Lomelin came out of the goal and Gerazan Deza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, Latorre's goal looked a bit too open when Navarro Antiñano came free, but Tobias Muñoyerro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sancho Lomelin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomil Domalik in the 88th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Modino in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sancho Lomelin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Valentines getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Santos Temiño hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that David Modino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sancho Lomelin was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Valentines eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
