Xabat Helguera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Rino in the 5th minute of the match. If Lucado Maceda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sadurni Vizcaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Illart Cavadilla fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candil's protests and gave Illart Cavadilla a yellow card for diving instead. Illart Cavadilla kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Xabat Helguera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sadurni Vizcaya in the 27th minute of the match. Lucado Maceda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Leizarraga Nuncibay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Roldan's late challenge caught a Candil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Roldan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Vila getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Alberto Roldan hit a great ball. Candil's Quirce Altamirano got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vila's Nicolas Tabares suffered a concussion in the 46th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Gorri Villayres fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candil's protests and gave Gorri Villayres a yellow card for diving instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucado Maceda to make the kick off. Lucado Maceda took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leizarraga Nuncibay. Leizarraga Nuncibay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Candil's Lucado Maceda in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vila's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Candil booed when Vila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leizarraga Nuncibay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Quirce Altamirano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leizarraga Nuncibay having to interfere. Leizarraga Nuncibay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucado Maceda in the 72nd minute of play. Sadurni Vizcaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xabat Helguera having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vila's zone, Quirce Altamirano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leizarraga Nuncibay came out of the goal and Quirce Altamirano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leizarraga Nuncibay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quirce Altamirano in the 84th minute of the match. Leizarraga Nuncibay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucado Maceda in the 85th minute of play. With a little luck, Candil's Xabat Helguera got control of the ball when Sadurni Vizcaya tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ruperto Bango fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leizarraga Nuncibay having to interfere.
