With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernandez Joseph prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mataojo's Raitin Presilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dolfos Cera in the 7th minute of play. Adriano Villalcazar hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Xurxo Albo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xurxo Albo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Raitin Presilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Xurxo Albo came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Chilcas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xurxo Albo couldn't finish the play. Xurxo Albo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raitin Presilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dolfos Cera in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Marcelino Baneros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xurxo Albo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raitin Presilla having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodney Ybañez during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mataojo booed when Chilcas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodney Ybañez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chilcas's goalkeeper Fernandez Joseph, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mataojo's zone, Xurxo Albo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raitin Presilla came out of the goal and Xurxo Albo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xurxo Albo struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Raitin Presilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chilcas. When Cebrian Eibar fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mataojo's protests and gave Cebrian Eibar a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Mataojo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chilcas:s goal. The referee gave Chilcas a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emenon Pastrana, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mataojo's Raitin Presilla. 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dolfos Cera to make the kick off. If Gaueko Pinillas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaueko Pinillas in the 68th minute of play forced Chilcas's goalkeeper Fernandez Joseph to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Xurxo Albo made a precise shot to the right of Raitin Presilla. Mataojo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 75th minute Dolfos Cera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raitin Presilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Mataojo's Raitin Presilla got control of the ball when Xurxo Albo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xurxo Albo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
