Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Humberto Abeita got the match started through his kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Koldo Chica during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, one of Verdun:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Verdun. The referee gave Verdun a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sesuldo Baragaño, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Verdun's Jonatan Cadiñanos. 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Verdun's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Abeita came free, but Pablo Lavega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Batista Arroyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Cadiñanos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Asteguieta in the 24th minute of play forced Verdun's goalkeeper Pablo Lavega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kemen Casados received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jonatan Cadiñanos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Verdun's Jonatan Cadiñanos got control of the ball when Batista Arroyo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Verdun's zone, Michel Asteguieta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pablo Lavega came out of the goal and Michel Asteguieta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Verdun's Humberto Abeita in 37 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Pablo Lavega guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Michel Asteguieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Lavega having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Verdun's Humberto Abeita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pablo Lavega made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Michel Asteguieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Lavega having to interfere. Verdun's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Kemen Casados scored to the left of an out of position Jonatan Cadiñanos, making the score, 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kemen Casados stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 59 in the game by Michel Asteguieta from a close distance when the talented Pablo Lavega managed to make a qualified save. Verdun's players were relieved. Verdun's Humberto Abeita managed to work through Verdun's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Humberto Abeita dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 61 played minutes Verdun got a freekick which was hit by Mingo Cerrudemos. Verdun's Pablo Lavega proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Verdun from getting a goal against them. If Michel Asteguieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Humberto Abeita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Abeita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pablo Lavega having to make a save. Humberto Abeita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Lavega having to interfere. Verdun's Jonatan Cadiñanos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batista Arroyo in the 80th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Verdun's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Michel Asteguieta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 94th minute Humberto Abeita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Lavega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes Verdun's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xamin Nobo who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Luis-Antonio Esnarriaga got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pablo Lavega quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew the final whistle, Verdun could leave the field as winners, despite Verdun having more of the ball for most of the match.
