After 23 played minutes Porongos got a freekick which was hit by Naike Sanjuan. Aaron Munozcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Macerio Azaceta in the 27th minute of play. When Macerio Azaceta came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Curtina AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Macerio Azaceta couldn't finish the play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Macerio Azaceta was the one to do the kick off. The Curtina AFC fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Curtina AFC's Chale Vozmediano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
