The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Licerio Agra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Goyo Balerdi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 6 minutes, Licerio Agra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Banda Del Lechuga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Licerio Agra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caracakingo Villela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Licerio Agra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Goyo Balerdi having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xayvion Darripe got free with Macias Poblaciàn in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Macias Poblaciàn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xayvion Darripe in the 13th minute. When La Banda Del Lechuga's Licerio Agra in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 38th minute, Gutierrre Camacho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of La Banda Del Lechuga booed when CERRO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inacio Rubinos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Licerio Agra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Isias Sever came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the La Banda Del Lechuga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isias Sever couldn't finish the play. CERRO FC's Xayvion Darripe got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Licerio Agra struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Goyo Balerdi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Banda Del Lechuga.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Licerio Agra to make the kick off. CERRO FC's Mogel Sotuela got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Licerio Agra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Goyo Balerdi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Isias Sever managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Banda Del Lechuga's supporters rose to their feet, but Isias Sever was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Goyo Balerdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xayvion Darripe struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Macias Poblaciàn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CERRO FC. Xayvion Darripe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Macias Poblaciàn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in CERRO FC's zone, Licerio Agra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Goyo Balerdi came out of the goal and Licerio Agra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Goyo Balerdi stood somewhat misplaced when Licerio Agra came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 78 minute. Macias Poblaciàn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xayvion Darripe went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 86th minute, Licerio Agra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Banda Del Lechuga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Isias Sever charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isias Sever the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Isias Sever kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Licerio Agra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Goyo Balerdi came out and tried to block the shot, but Licerio Agra slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 93rd minute. La Banda Del Lechuga's Isias Sever got his second yellow card of the match in the 96th minute. The referee ordered Isias Sever off the ground. After a rather tough play, La Banda Del Lechuga's Isias Sever got a free kick in the 97th minute. La Banda Del Lechuga's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
