After 15 played minutes, Rodo AFC's Mikelar Caselles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Montrelle Forteza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rodo AFC reached it. Matias Albertos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Montrelle Forteza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Albertos in the 25th minute of play. When Rodo AFC's Gervasio Galguera in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Rodo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lander Tabernilla should have stopped the shot. Fermin Riofrio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 63rd playminute. A collision led to Montevideo Torque getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Rene Bolaños hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Rodo AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Montevideo Torque:s goal. In the 77th minute of the game, Montevideo Torque got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. Lazaro Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Lander Tabernilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Rodo AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Camilo Verdejo hit a great ball. After 88 minutes Rodo AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Valentim Ontavilla who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Endura Borrajo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Rodo AFC's Gabrio Yanguas in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 93rdth minute of the game Lazaro Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rodo AFC's Lander Tabernilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matias Albertos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Montrelle Forteza having to make a save. With a little luck, Rodo AFC's Lander Tabernilla got control of the ball when Lazaro Dias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lazaro Dias might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lander Tabernilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lazaro Dias ran back to his position shaking his head. The Montevideo Torque supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Montevideo Torque would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
