But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Bargas couldn't finish the play. Castel Añe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Modesto Bargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gervasio's zone, Modesto Bargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Castel Añe came out of the goal and Modesto Bargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateus Flor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Gervasio were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beila Lomas made a kick off. Modesto Bargas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Castel Añe having to make a save. Castel Añe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koldobika Rebollo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Beila Lomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes Gervasio got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Flor. After 71 played minutes, Curtina's Erramun Torrecilla shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Castel Añe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Curtina reached it. Eztebe Freigido's late challenge caught a Curtina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eztebe Freigido helped the player get up and apologised. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gervasio! In the 77thth minute of the game Koldobika Rebollo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gervasio's Castel Añe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haimar Valencia got free with Leobardo Yunibarbia in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Gervasio getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Haimar Valencia hit a great ball. Curtina's Modesto Bargas got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Koldobika Rebollo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Castel Añe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Bargas in the 91st minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Eztebe Freigido fired a really elegant long shot, but Leobardo Yunibarbia threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 98th minute, Modesto Bargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Gervasio supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gervasio would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
