Spectators: 6704 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gonzalo Contreras started the match with the kick off. 0-1 became the score in the 12th minute when Agostinho Sanes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Salto's Alex Camba got a free kick in the 15th minute. Agostinho Sanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gregorio Urruela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Mosquitos got a freekick which was hit by Francho Zubiaga. Agostinho Sanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 played minutes Mosquitos got a freekick which was hit by Maore Juarbe. Beltran Larrave sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mosquitos's goalkeeper Gregorio Urruela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Salto's Blasi Barrillos got control of the ball when Andrew Bello tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Guillerme Uja fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mosquitos's protests and gave Guillerme Uja a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mosquitos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! In the 39th minute there was a penalty for Salto. Maurino Castañeda stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gregorio Urruela. 0-2. When Andrew Bello came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Mosquitos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrew Bello couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Beltran Larrave recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andrew Bello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Blasi Barrillos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Gonzalo Contreras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mosquitos's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonzalo Contreras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blasi Barrillos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jaen Sombredo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Blasi Barrillos. Salto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Blasi Barrillos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francho Zubiaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrew Bello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Mosquitos's zone, Beltran Larrave stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Urruela came out of the goal and Beltran Larrave tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 85 minutes into the match, Salto's goal looked a bit too open when Andrew Bello came free, but Blasi Barrillos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrew Bello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Salto defense, Gonzalo Contreras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blasi Barrillos. The Salto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blasi Barrillos should have stopped the shot. Salto's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
