After having played for 3 minutes, Inocente Natos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itapeby AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inocente Natos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9thth minute of the game Gabirel Pena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter's Pablo-Enrique Basallan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Itapeby AFC's Inocente Natos got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabirel Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo-Enrique Basallan having to interfere. Pablo-Enrique Basallan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabirel Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter's goalkeeper Pablo-Enrique Basallan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabirel Pena in the 21st minute of play forced Inter's goalkeeper Pablo-Enrique Basallan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Federico Olaechea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lartaun Burualla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabirel Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo-Enrique Basallan having to interfere. In the 34th minute Inocente Natos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo-Enrique Basallan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Itapeby AFC booed when Inter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Vilafranca didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Inter:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Itapeby AFC:s goal. Gabirel Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Itapeby AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lartaun Burualla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Lartaun Burualla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Lartaun Burualla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inter's supporters rose to their feet, but Lartaun Burualla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Federico Olaechea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Stanislao Pabon fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inter's protests and gave Stanislao Pabon a yellow card for diving instead. Stanislao Pabon kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Fortun Gaitan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lartaun Burualla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Federico Olaechea having to make a save. Pablo-Enrique Basallan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabirel Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Inter's goal looked a bit too open when Gabirel Pena came free, but Pablo-Enrique Basallan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Stanislao Pabon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 94 minutes, Matthew Botello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter and the Itapeby AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th match minute, Inter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Botello to maneuver through the defense. When Gabirel Pena came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Itapeby AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabirel Pena couldn't finish the play. The Itapeby AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Itapeby AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
