An unexpectedly hard shot by Naelio Berrondo in the 20th minute of play forced Sacramento AFC's goalkeeper Marques Profitos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Canitas's Ilazki Tuo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Carrozal in the 24th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Bernardino Carrozal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sacramento AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardino Carrozal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilazki Tuo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the match, Sacramento AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Iratze Ibaute came free, but Marques Profitos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Naelio Berrondo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Naelio Berrondo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Egoitz Gijon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sacramento AFC and the Canitas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marques Profitos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gelmiro Casarin. The attack was good, but when Naelio Berrondo in the 64th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Egoitz Gijon hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Iratze Ibaute could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Marques Profitos however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naelio Berrondo in the 70th minute of play forced Sacramento AFC's goalkeeper Marques Profitos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Canitas defense, Bernardino Carrozal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilazki Tuo. The Canitas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilazki Tuo should have stopped the shot. Adriano Aro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marques Profitos. Sacramento AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 81stth minute of the game Naelio Berrondo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sacramento AFC's Marques Profitos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ilazki Tuo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Carrozal in the 85th minute of the match.
