The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Corderall Maujo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Baladi Carbasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Lopes Sever who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Baladi Carbasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 22nd minute, Corderall Maujo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baladi Carbasa didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. Lopes Sever struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Baladi Carbasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapecoense AFC. If Corderall Maujo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baladi Carbasa made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Corderall Maujo sent off a good shot on target. After 35 minutes of play, Chapecoense AFC's Corderall Maujo made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baladi Carbasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chapecoense AFC's Godofredo Arbieto got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 42 minutes, Corderall Maujo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chapecoense AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corderall Maujo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Chapecoense AFC's Godofredo Arbieto in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Goni AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Baladi Carbasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lopes Sever showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 45 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salvidor Bullan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chapecoense AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! In the 56th minute Vincent Stensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baladi Carbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gar Andibidria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Noya having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Godofredo Arbieto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baladi Carbasa came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Chapecoense AFC's Godofredo Arbieto. But to his dismay, Godofredo Arbieto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. If Corderall Maujo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chapecoense AFC made a substitution. Zunbeltz Banda replaced Abelardo Casado. Luis Suarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Baladi Carbasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baladi Carbasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corderall Maujo in the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Corderall Maujo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baladi Carbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Goni AFC's zone, Luis Suarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baladi Carbasa came out of the goal and Luis Suarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Chapecoense AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
