After 3 minutes, Rafe Jayaga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Echeverria and the Maldonado FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Echeverria getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Rafe Jayaga hit a great ball. In the 11th minute Corderro Larrañaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Regidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute Etxekopar Entrambasaguas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anxo Escandàn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lluterio Cemborain came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Maldonado FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lluterio Cemborain couldn't finish the play. Frasquito Camacho hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A collision led to Echeverria getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Guaberto Paliza hit a great ball. Lluterio Cemborain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Regidor having to interfere. Echeverria's Jairo Regidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corderro Larrañaga in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Etxekopar Entrambasaguas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Echeverria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Etxekopar Entrambasaguas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Corderro Larrañaga struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jairo Regidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maldonado FC. After 36 minutes, Corderro Larrañaga made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Echeverria's Jairo Regidor tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute, Etxekopar Entrambasaguas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Echeverria defense, Lluterio Cemborain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jairo Regidor. The Echeverria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jairo Regidor should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Etxekopar Entrambasaguas made a kick off. Maldonado FC's Anxo Escandàn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Tejada in the 54th minute of play. Anxo Escandàn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Tejada in the 55th minute of the match. Lluterio Cemborain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Echeverria's Jairo Regidor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Echeverria from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute, Lluterio Cemborain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lluterio Cemborain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jairo Regidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lluterio Cemborain was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. Maldonado FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Lluterio Cemborain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jairo Regidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Maldonado FC's Bieito Peramato got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Hipolito Tejada ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anxo Escandàn was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Bieito Peramato kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Lluterio Cemborain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Regidor having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Echeverria's goal looked a bit too open when Lluterio Cemborain came free, but Jairo Regidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Echeverria fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maldonado FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
