After 24 minutes, Tolek Sidorowicz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A.Yaguarí and the Progreso FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.A.Yaguarí's Tolek Sidorowicz got a free kick in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artur Villaquiran in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tonio Pazo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tolek Sidorowicz in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerrald Ser saved Progreso FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Progreso FC's zone, Niolaao Luna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerrald Ser came out of the goal and Niolaao Luna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tolek Sidorowicz in the 29th minute of play forced Progreso FC's goalkeeper Jerrald Ser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Silvestre Raña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Progreso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Raña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tonio Pazo made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Baldovino Serbia sent off a good shot on target. Niolaao Luna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerrald Ser having to interfere. Jerrald Ser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tolek Sidorowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tolek Sidorowicz to strike the kick off in the second half. C.A.Yaguarí's Tonio Pazo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Raña in the 51st minute of play. After some careless play in the C.A.Yaguarí defense, Silvestre Raña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tonio Pazo. The C.A.Yaguarí fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tonio Pazo should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the match, C.A.Yaguarí's goal looked a bit too open when Baldovino Serbia came free, but Tonio Pazo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Progreso FC's goalkeeper Jerrald Ser, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvestre Raña in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tonio Pazo saved C.A.Yaguarí from getting behind. C.A.Yaguarí's Tonio Pazo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Villaquiran in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Baldovino Serbia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Progreso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldovino Serbia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tonio Pazo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Progreso FC booed when C.A.Yaguarí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tolek Sidorowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tonio Pazo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvestre Raña went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. When Artur Villaquiran came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Progreso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Villaquiran couldn't finish the play. The attack was good, but when Artur Villaquiran in the 94th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Tonio Pazo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Villaquiran in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Progreso FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while C.A.Yaguarí had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
