When Artur Villaquiran came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Progreso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Villaquiran couldn't finish the play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolfo Reyna to make the kick off. Totoral's Ellande Colunga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Villaquiran in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Progreso FC's zone, Leobardo Cavazos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerrald Ser came out of the goal and Leobardo Cavazos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Adolfo Reyna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Artur Villaquiran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ellande Colunga was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Leobardo Cavazos took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerrald Ser. Jerrald Ser dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Progreso FC's Baldovino Serbia got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Silvestre Raña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ellande Colunga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76thth minute of the game Artur Villaquiran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Totoral's Ellande Colunga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jerrald Ser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leobardo Cavazos in the 79th minute of play. Silvestre Raña struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ellande Colunga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Progreso FC. In the 83rd minute Adolfo Reyna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerrald Ser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Adolfo Reyna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerrald Ser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Reyna, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
