Spectators: 6713 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the game, one of Zapara:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Sanchez. Benino Hompanera stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Larra Rivacoba. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Zapara's zone, Xabat Haya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Larra Rivacoba came out of the goal and Xabat Haya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cordeara Almenara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Larra Rivacoba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zapara's Larra Rivacoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordeara Almenara in the 18th minute of play. After 21 minutes of play, Zapara's Urbano Moldes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ermegildo Nogal was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 24 played minutes Sanchez got a freekick which was hit by Cortez Munarriz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xabat Haya in the 27th minute of play forced Zapara's goalkeeper Larra Rivacoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lordi Cadiñanos charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lordi Cadiñanos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lordi Cadiñanos kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Urbano Moldes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ermegildo Nogal made a huge save. Xabat Haya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larra Rivacoba having to interfere. When Xabat Haya came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Sanchez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xabat Haya couldn't finish the play. Larra Rivacoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordeara Almenara in the 44th minute of the match. When Xabat Haya, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 46 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Larra Rivacoba was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Xabat Haya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larra Rivacoba having to interfere.

Larra Rivacoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xabat Haya, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xabat Haya in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Larra Rivacoba saved Zapara from getting behind. Cordeara Almenara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 62 played minutes Zapara got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Tavera. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xabat Haya in the 67th minute of play forced Zapara's goalkeeper Larra Rivacoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Xabat Haya sped through Zapara's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Larra Rivacoba. If Cordeara Almenara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88thth minute of the game Xabat Haya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zapara's Larra Rivacoba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zapara's Larra Rivacoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xabat Haya in the 89th minute of play. Xabat Haya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larra Rivacoba having to interfere. Cordeara Almenara succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 96th playminute. Sanchez's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
