After 6 minutes of play, Tacuarembo's Tabb Agudo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sanchez Pardeo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, Xzaiver Noya notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Atletico Ceibo FC's Sanchez Pardeo. Sanchez Pardeo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santutxo Mañes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feo Fabelo having to interfere. In the 18th match minute, Tacuarembo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tabb Agudo to maneuver through the defense. Sanchez Pardeo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celipe Salz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christovao Trevilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reno Angosto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Feo Fabelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tacuarembo's Feo Fabelo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Tacuarembo from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pietro Lazaro in the 29th minute of play forced Atletico Ceibo FC's goalkeeper Sanchez Pardeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Tacuarembo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atletico Ceibo FC:s goal. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Atletico Ceibo FC. Fernando Salceda stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Feo Fabelo. 1-2. If Christovao Trevilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tacuarembo getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Macario Villarreal hit a great ball. Reno Angosto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Feo Fabelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Tacuarembo were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Feo Fabelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reno Angosto in the 53rd minute of play. Sanchez Pardeo made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Macario Villarreal sent off a good shot on target. 59 minutes into the match, Tacuarembo's goal looked a bit too open when Reno Angosto came free, but Feo Fabelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Pietro Lazaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tacuarembo's supporters rose to their feet, but Pietro Lazaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sanchez Pardeo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute Christovao Trevilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feo Fabelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reno Angosto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Feo Fabelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes, Atletico Ceibo FC's Fernando Salceda shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Feo Fabelo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atletico Ceibo FC reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Tacuarembo's zone, Christovao Trevilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feo Fabelo came out of the goal and Christovao Trevilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Christovao Trevilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Ceibo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christovao Trevilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feo Fabelo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christovao Trevilla in the 90th minute of play forced Tacuarembo's goalkeeper Feo Fabelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Celipe Salz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Atletico Ceibo FC's Sanchez Pardeo got control of the ball when Celipe Salz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christovao Trevilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
