When Efraim Trespuentes came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Rolon AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efraim Trespuentes couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, Rolon AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Napier Zucunza came free, but Abilio Costilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abilio Costilla made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Zarando Aquejano sent off a good shot on target. Rolon AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Zarando Aquejano scored to the left of an out of position Abilio Costilla, making the score, 1-0. Abilio Costilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikola Logares in the 30th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Horacio Higuera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rolon AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Higuera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isadore Berroa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Horacio Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horacio Higuera in the 34th minute of play forced Varese's goalkeeper Isadore Berroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Varese booed when Rolon AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvator Barrientos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Abilio Costilla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Abilio Costilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Napier Zucunza in the 41st minute of play. After 44 played minutes Rolon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gizon Argüero. A collision led to Rolon AFC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ciro Anguciana hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Napier Zucunza in the 48th minute of play forced Rolon AFC's goalkeeper Abilio Costilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Abilio Costilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Napier Zucunza, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Horacio Higuera in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Isadore Berroa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rolon AFC's Abilio Costilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikola Logares in the 68th minute of play. Efraim Trespuentes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isadore Berroa having to interfere. Efraim Trespuentes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 72nd minute. Rolon AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 73rd minute, Rolon AFC's Salvator Barrientos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Salvator Barrientos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rolon AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Salvator Barrientos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Salvator Barrientos kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Isadore Berroa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horacio Higuera in the 77th minute. If Horacio Higuera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Varese's Isadore Berroa got control of the ball when Palben Binas tried to sneak it across the goal line. There was no doubt that Varese were the better team. Varese's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
