Masoller's Ronaldo Berinduaga got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Minas's Laurgain Gamarra got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Errapel Saez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Minas's Gero Cora didn't even have to move. In the 21st minute, Cresenciano Olivieri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Masoller fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 23 played minutes Masoller got a freekick which was hit by Lalla Maya. A collision led to Masoller getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Francesco Cedron hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliveiro Vesga in the 29th minute of play forced Masoller's goalkeeper Xorxe Tavarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Virila Galvez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Minas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Masoller the free kick. After a rather tough play, Minas's Virila Galvez got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Lalla Maya kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 36 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Minas's Oliveiro Vesga fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliveiro Vesga in the 42nd minute of play forced Masoller's goalkeeper Xorxe Tavarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliveiro Vesga struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Xorxe Tavarez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Minas. When Ronaldo Berinduaga got free in front of the goal in the 47th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Gero Cora was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Berinduaga was the one to do the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Cresenciano Olivieri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Minas's Gero Cora was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xorxe Tavarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveiro Vesga, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The supporters of Masoller booed when Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bras Albarellos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xorxe Tavarez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pancho Navariega in the 70th minute. Masoller's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Berinduaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Minas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
