Valdense's Chano Sorondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eguntsenti Muñoz in the 28th minute of play. If Eguntsenti Muñoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pirmin Rioseco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Chano Sorondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Pirmin Rioseco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lavaderos AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

After 54 minutes of play, Valdense's Amancio Castells made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virila Naves was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 57 played minutes Valdense got a freekick which was hit by Rios Villarprego. Chano Sorondo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lazaro Sandino. In the 59th minute Pirmin Rioseco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chano Sorondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Josu Elorriaga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valdense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lavaderos AFC the free kick. A collision led to Valdense getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Josu Elorriaga hit a great ball. Eguntsenti Muñoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valdense's goalkeeper Chano Sorondo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilfredo Lagos kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Valdense were furious when Oscar Legaspi was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Valdense fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! Chano Sorondo went to the wrong direction when Lazaro Sandino was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Eguntsenti Muñoz in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chano Sorondo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 93rd match minute, Valdense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josu Elorriaga to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute of the match, Pirmin Rioseco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Chano Sorondo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lavaderos AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
