But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Muruve couldn't finish the play. Duranzo FC's Beti Reina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximeno Marquina in the 10th minute of play. Espiridion Calviño made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Gomesano Villayres sent off a good shot on target. Beti Reina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Muruve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luciano Terminel's late challenge caught a Lapuente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luciano Terminel helped the player get up and apologised. Emiliano Muruve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Beti Reina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Terminel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gomesano Villayres got free with Espiridion Calviño in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Duardo Piñan kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Lapuente's goalkeeper Espiridion Calviño had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gomesano Villayres. The crowd rose to their feet as Gomesano Villayres kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Espiridion Calviño. That made the score 1-0 in the 37 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Muruve to make the kick off. Cordarell Asteguieta hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Hitz Oterino made a precise shot to the right of Espiridion Calviño. Lapuente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Lapuente's zone, Gomesano Villayres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Espiridion Calviño came out of the goal and Gomesano Villayres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nando Rodil during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lapuente's Nando Rodil got a free kick in the 74th minute. When Gomesano Villayres came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Duranzo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gomesano Villayres couldn't finish the play. Gomesano Villayres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Espiridion Calviño having to interfere. After 87 minutes of play Duranzo FC's Luciano Terminel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 88th match minute, Duranzo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Terminel to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes Duranzo FC got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Arceo. In the 91st minute Duardo Piñan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beti Reina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beti Reina made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Ximeno Marquina sent off a good shot on target. Beti Reina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Muruve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Duranzo FC were the better team. Duranzo FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
