Prospero Villamarin came out of the goal and Duarte Traslago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, San Gabriel F.C's Prospero Villamarin got control of the ball when Duarte Traslago tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vitin Urbieta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prospero Villamarin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitin Urbieta in the 30th minute of play forced San Gabriel F.C's goalkeeper Prospero Villamarin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th match minute, San Gabriel F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Vall to maneuver through the defense. Vitin Urbieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Villamarin having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, San Gabriel F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Vitin Urbieta came free, but Prospero Villamarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48thth minute of the game Maurilio Agriano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrancas's Dante Trujillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vitin Urbieta made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, San Gabriel F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Vitin Urbieta came free, but Prospero Villamarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galoer Mexia kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Serafo Somoza in the 58th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Froila Barruso came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Barrancas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Froila Barruso couldn't finish the play. Prospero Villamarin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitin Urbieta in the 69th minute of play. After 72 played minutes San Gabriel F.C got a freekick which was hit by Ramirez Urtiaran. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Traslago in the 73rd minute of play forced San Gabriel F.C's goalkeeper Prospero Villamarin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Gabriel F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sauveur Acedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Barrancas's players had a chance to rest. Barrancas's Sauveur Acedo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Prospero Villamarin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 76th minute Duarte Traslago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Villamarin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prospero Villamarin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sauveur Acedo in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to San Gabriel F.C getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Wilfredo Vall hit a great ball. In the 81st minute Vitin Urbieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Villamarin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Trujillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafo Somoza, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 84th match minute, San Gabriel F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Galoer Mexia to maneuver through the defense. Prospero Villamarin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duarte Traslago in the 87th minute of the match. Duarte Traslago struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Prospero Villamarin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrancas. Prospero Villamarin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitin Urbieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If Duarte Traslago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duarte Traslago took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Prospero Villamarin. Prospero Villamarin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. San Gabriel F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
