Confesor Rello was left in no man's land by his defense there! Madaleno Escalona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Aranda having to interfere. Ermegildo Aranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bikendi Samano in the 28th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Madaleno Escalona put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ermegildo Aranda. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Madaleno Escalona in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermegildo Aranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Maronas's Hipolito Rois got a free kick in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dayman's zone, Madaleno Escalona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Aranda came out of the goal and Madaleno Escalona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Madaleno Escalona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maronas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Madaleno Escalona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hipolito Rois sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Bruno Navia made the kick off in the second half. Dayman's Ermegildo Aranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Madaleno Escalona in the 51st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandro Zubiaga during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maronas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruno Navia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The Dayman fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maronas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
