In the 42ndth minute of the game Bikendi Samano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cerro A.C's Magdaleno Elguero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Bikendi Samano got free in front of the goal in the 42nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Magdaleno Elguero was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Madaleno Escalona got free with Magdaleno Elguero in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conrado Villalaud made a kick off. Etxekopar Palafox could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Confesor Rello made a huge save. In the 58th minute, Benito Pares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Maronas's zone, Gaxan Vozmediana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Confesor Rello came out of the goal and Gaxan Vozmediana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ambrosio Canonega received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Confesor Rello came out and tried to block the shot, but Ambrosio Canonega slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 61st minute. 64 minutes into the match, Maronas's Madaleno Escalona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Magdaleno Elguero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bikendi Samano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Madaleno Escalona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magdaleno Elguero having to interfere.
