Magdaleno Elguero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Club Nacional De Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Villalaud came free, but Benino Martelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Eskuin Laredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Nacional De Futbol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerro A.C the free kick. Etxekopar Palafox recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benino Martelo was a little too slow when Conrado Villalaud got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ambrosio Canonega's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benino Martelo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Benino Martelo made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Etxekopar Palafox sent off a good shot on target. If Conrado Villalaud had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rodrigo Casillas fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Nacional De Futbol's protests and gave Rodrigo Casillas a yellow card for diving instead. Rodrigo Casillas kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Gaxan Vozmediana's shot from long distance in the 35th minute was not bad at all, but Club Nacional De Futbol's Benino Martelo knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Ambrosio Canonega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Conrado Villalaud stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benino Martelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Villalaud in the 57th minute of the match. When Conrado Villalaud got free in front of the goal in the 64th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Benino Martelo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Conrado Villalaud came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Cerro A.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Villalaud couldn't finish the play. Vimaro Tarano charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vimaro Tarano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vimaro Tarano hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Jerold Gamarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conrado Villalaud's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benino Martelo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Cerro A.C's Magdaleno Elguero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerold Gamarra in the 84th minute of play. Conrado Villalaud recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jerold Gamarra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magdaleno Elguero having to make a save. Etxekopar Palafox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benino Martelo having to interfere. Club Nacional De Futbol's Benino Martelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Villalaud in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cerro A.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Nacional De Futbol had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
