The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Giro Bolinaga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Seber Esperta, 2-0. Giro Bolinaga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Seber Esperta having to make a save. Porongos AFC's Epifanio Molleda got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Edgardo Ureta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Amandi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Tuo in the 32nd minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Porongos AFC's goalkeeper Seber Esperta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgardo Ureta. Giro Bolinaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Amandi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Molleda in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giro Bolinaga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mario Tuo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Amandi having to interfere. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carmelo AFC's goalkeeper Flavio Amandi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Orzaize Luna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavio Amandi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Blasco Rubion went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Carmelo AFC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Jacindo San hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Porongos AFC's Mederi Septien broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Seber Esperta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Ureta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Carmelo AFC's Giro Bolinaga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Seber Esperta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Tuo in the 89th minute of play forced Carmelo AFC's goalkeeper Flavio Amandi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Giro Bolinaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmelo AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
