After recieving a nice pass, Carmen's Camerino Farell tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Poncio Obiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guter Viñuela got free with Hermengildo Lucio in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severino Cotillos to strike the kick off in the second half. Anier Cadanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oihan Loredo in the 53rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Covillas during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mauro Covillas kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Vazquez's goalkeeper Anier Cadanes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teo Salto. A collision led to Vazquez getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Joaquim Tarabejano hit a great ball. Hermengildo Lucio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Cotillos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Carmen's Oihan Loredo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Anier Cadanes. Anier Cadanes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Carmen's Hermengildo Lucio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Covillas in the 75th minute of play. When Severino Cotillos came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Vazquez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Cotillos couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Vazquez's zone, Oihan Loredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Cadanes came out of the goal and Oihan Loredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carmen's Hermengildo Lucio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guter Viñuela in the 84th minute of play. Hermengildo Lucio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Cotillos in the 92nd minute of the match. Guter Viñuela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Cotillos in the 95th minute of play forced Carmen's goalkeeper Hermengildo Lucio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vazquez's Severino Cotillos got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carmen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
