In the 8th minute, Elia Collazos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elia Collazos might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Piearres Morante. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elia Collazos ran back to his position shaking his head. Elia Collazos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenz Riera couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Mariano Falconi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zapara's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Falconi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zumar Lerin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lorenz Riera to strike the kick off in the second half. Piearres Morante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elia Collazos in the 52nd minute of the match. Lamberto Pradias's late challenge caught a Barrancas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
