Serafino Tixido might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Idacio Ruiloba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafino Tixido ran back to his position shaking his head. Joanico FC's Idacio Ruiloba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafino Tixido in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to C. A. Peñarol getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ricardo Caamaño hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Brais Viladrosa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hector Yanes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Joanico FC's Idacio Ruiloba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Joanico FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ubendu Fardi got free with Idacio Ruiloba in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Joanico FC's Oriol Villalain in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C. A. Leizarraga Castaños received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Hector Yanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Joanico FC's zone, Ubendu Fardi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Idacio Ruiloba came out of the goal and Ubendu Fardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ubendu Fardi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Idacio Ruiloba having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, C. A. Peñarol's Ubendu Fardi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Idacio Ruiloba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Oriol Villalain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C. A. Peñarol's Serafino Tixido got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
