Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Serafino Tixido got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, C. A. Peñarol's Steven Flecha got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 10th minute, Berto Castellano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Loren Argos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafino Tixido, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 22nd minute of the match Estebe Saracha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Loren Argos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 23 minutes, Serafino Tixido made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Mataojito FC's Loren Argos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Ubendu Fardi came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the C. A. Peñarol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubendu Fardi couldn't finish the play. If Perfecto Maceira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Mataojito FC's goalkeeper Loren Argos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ubendu Fardi. Mataojito FC's Loren Argos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Mataojito FC from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the game, Serafino Tixido recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Loren Argos. Serafino Tixido showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Ubendu Fardi managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Peñarol's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubendu Fardi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loren Argos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serafino Tixido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ubendu Fardi struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Loren Argos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Peñarol. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Estebe Saracha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute Mataojito FC were awarded a corner. Joam Viniambres went to the cornerflag to take it. Mataojito FC's Joam Viniambres was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hector Yanes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hector Yanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perfecto Maceira, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Serafino Tixido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Loren Argos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berto Castellano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Serafino Tixido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Mataojito FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perfecto Maceira to maneuver through the defense. When Serafino Tixido came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the C. A. Peñarol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafino Tixido couldn't finish the play. Perfecto Maceira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Mataojito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Tixido came free, but Loren Argos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ubendu Fardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C. A. Peñarol fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mataojito FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
