Spectators: 6702 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Serafino Tixido kicked off to start the match. Txilar Covillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubendu Fardi in the 8th minute of play. Ubendu Fardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuxila Conde's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hector Yanes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Serafino Tixido put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Txilar Covillas. When Ubendu Fardi came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the C. A. Peñarol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubendu Fardi couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Castillos defense, Ubendu Fardi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Txilar Covillas. The Castillos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Txilar Covillas should have stopped the shot. 36 minutes into the match, Castillos's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Tixido came free, but Txilar Covillas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Castillos's Txilar Covillas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubendu Fardi in the 40th minute of play. Lisandro Loyas kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santio Illera in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Yanes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santio Illera made a kick off. Santio Illera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Yanes having to interfere. Ubendu Fardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Txilar Covillas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Serafino Tixido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Txilar Covillas was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Txilar Covillas came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Peñarol's Ubendu Fardi. But to his dismay, Ubendu Fardi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 72nd minute Santio Illera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Yanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rocendo Pedrais struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Hector Yanes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castillos. In the 82nd minute, C. A. Peñarol's Serafino Tixido dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Rocendo Pedrais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Hector Yanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rocendo Pedrais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Yanes having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Lisandro Loyas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C. A. Peñarol played a much better game than Castillos and deserved their victory. The Castillos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
