After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Nankatsu's zone, Aldo Belda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donostia Arzumendi came out of the goal and Aldo Belda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 played minutes C. A. Nankatsu got a freekick which was hit by Ezkerra Alija. Aldo Beldas short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Donostia Arzumendi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Che Navaridas scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cordareo Sandes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aldo Belda might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donostia Arzumendi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aldo Belda ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute Geofredo Calva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordareo Sandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guipuzkoa Lebrato was the one to do the kick off. Nankatsu's Donostia Arzumendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elixio Correa in the 55th minute of play. When Ovando Laviada fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itapeby AFC's protests and gave Ovando Laviada a yellow card for diving instead. Ovando Laviada kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Donostia Arzumendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elixio Correa in the 64th minute of the match. Donostia Arzumendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Belda in the 76th minute of the match. If Geofredo Calva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Geofredo Calva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordareo Sandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C. A. Nankatsu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
