Nacional de Paysandu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Macario Barbero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Macario Barbero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferrando Era having to interfere. If Rodas Agulla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute Rodas Agulla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferrando Era saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zumar Gou struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Eusko Enestrosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piriapolis. After a rather tough play, Nacional de Paysandu's Maureo Morera got a free kick in the 47th minute. Beliran Llain in the 49thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. With his leg Ferrando Era managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Nacional de Paysandu's Macario Barbero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rodas Agulla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Macario Barbero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Nacional de Paysandu left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Piriapolis.
