An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodas Agulla in the 22nd minute of play forced Chilcas FC's goalkeeper Mingo Agudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional de Paysandu's zone, Leopoldo Preciado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusko Enestrosa came out of the goal and Leopoldo Preciado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Telo Ramires hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Filomeno Chumacero hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Nacional de Paysandu's Macario Barbero in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 28th match minute, Nacional de Paysandu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Porcayo to maneuver through the defense. 1-1 became the score in the 29th minute when Leopoldo Preciado elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nataniel Ontoria's late challenge caught a Nacional de Paysandu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nataniel Ontoria helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, Chilcas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nataniel Ontoria to maneuver through the defense. If Macario Barbero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodas Agulla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopoldo Preciado made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Aristides Zumalburu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Macario Barbero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodas Agulla in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mingo Agudo saved Chilcas FC from getting behind. After 67 played minutes, Nacional de Paysandu's Helder Caselles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mingo Agudo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nacional de Paysandu reached it. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Macario Barbero sped through Chilcas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mingo Agudo. Chilcas FC's Mingo Agudo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Chilcas FC from getting a goal against them. Nacional de Paysandu's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
