Florida AFC's Vicente Murillo managed to work through Club Nacional de Football's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Hector Azadon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Raul Felipez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Jeraldo Arechavala made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ebardo Hilari was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remicio Giner got free with Hector Azadon in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hector Azadon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remicio Giner in the 81st minute. 85 minutes into the match, Club Nacional de Football's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Murillo came free, but Hector Azadon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
