Zapican FC's Pepito Villagarcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximun Marques in the 13th minute of play. Regis Lomas's late challenge caught a Zapican FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Regis Lomas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Santiago AFC's Regis Lomas got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute, Aires Saribiarte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santiago AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sasho Bozukov hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Pepito Villagarcia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xzavion Jesus's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Santiago AFC's Ximeno Lobo got a free kick in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Sasho Bozukov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zapican FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santiago AFC the free kick. In the 31st match minute, Zapican FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sasho Bozukov to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Barrionuevo made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Nacho Lores sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Santiago AFC's Nuno Barrionuevo got control of the ball when Nacho Lores tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pepito Villagarcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xzavion Jesus in the 46th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Bernabe Mobilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zapican FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernabe Mobilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Barrionuevo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nacho Lores was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd play minute Regis Lomas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pepito Villagarcia. 1-2. The supporters of Zapican FC booed when Santiago AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fraco Valbas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Nacho Lores managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zapican FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nacho Lores was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Barrionuevo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pepito Villagarcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aires Saribiarte in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match Bernabe Mobilla shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Barrionuevo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pepito Villagarcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xzavion Jesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Pepito Villagarcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aires Saribiarte in the 75th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Santiago AFC's zone, Bernabe Mobilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Barrionuevo came out of the goal and Bernabe Mobilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th match minute, Zapican FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulrik Kielstedt to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Santiago AFC's zone, Nacho Lores stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Barrionuevo came out of the goal and Nacho Lores tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nacho Lores received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Nuno Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernabe Mobilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Barrionuevo having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Santiago AFC's Aires Saribiarte slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pepito Villagarcia. That made the score 1-4 after 89 minutes of play. If Severiano Gallegos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute of the match, Severiano Gallegos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pepito Villagarcia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Zapican FC's Pepito Villagarcia got control of the ball when Regis Lomas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santiago AFC's Nuno Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nacho Lores in the 97th minute of play. Santiago AFC played a much better game than Zapican FC and deserved their victory. The Zapican FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
