After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Paulin Venero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colon AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulin Venero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ihintza Terrazos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ladislao Garate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernan Antigua stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ladislao Garate's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. After 48 played minutes Paulin Venero rounded Velazquez's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulin Venero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hernan Antigua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matia Unanue, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Velazquez getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Arotza Cediel hit a great ball. Ihintza Terrazos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Alfebra, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Velazquez:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Colon AFC:s goal. In the 64th minute Colon AFC were awarded a corner. Frasco Paderniga went to the cornerflag to take it. Matia Unanue received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hernan Antigua came out and tried to block the shot, but Matia Unanue slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute, Matia Unanue fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 75th minute, Velazquez's Ladislao Garate dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. When Mauricio Alfebra came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Colon AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Alfebra couldn't finish the play. Gizon Cazares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Ladislao Garate fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 91 minutes into the game, Matia Unanue lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Hernan Antigua. Matia Unanue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Hernan Antigua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hernan Antigua came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Velazquez's Ladislao Garate. But to his dismay, Ladislao Garate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4.
