Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Matia Unanue started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 3 played minutes Velazquez got a freekick which was hit by Iztal Torre. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mincho Junguito in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ihintza Terrazos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 9 minutes, Indar Sota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Velazquez and the Valentines players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes Velazquez got a freekick which was hit by Indar Sota. When Ladislao Garate came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Velazquez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Garate couldn't finish the play. Mincho Junguito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Velazquez getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Iztal Torre hit a great ball. Mincho Junguito took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ihintza Terrazos. Ihintza Terrazos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Matia Unanue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Dabi Mendibuey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Garate got free with Dabi Mendibuey in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mincho Junguito in the 33rd minute of play forced Velazquez's goalkeeper Ihintza Terrazos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ihintza Terrazos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mincho Junguito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Valentines's goal looked a bit too open when Matia Unanue came free, but Dabi Mendibuey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Mincho Junguito made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Valentines's goal looked a bit too open when Indar Sota came free, but Dabi Mendibuey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Arotza Cediel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velazquez's supporters rose to their feet, but Arotza Cediel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dabi Mendibuey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Velazquez booed when Valentines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Ganzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Velazquez's Ladislao Garate sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dabi Mendibuey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ladislao Garate in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dabi Mendibuey saved Valentines from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Velazquez's goal looked a bit too open when Mincho Junguito came free, but Ihintza Terrazos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Seme Canellas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 73 minutes, Ladislao Garate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velazquez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Garate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute Ladislao Garate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dabi Mendibuey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matia Unanue in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dabi Mendibuey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Velazquez's Matia Unanue in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valentines's goalie prevented a goal. 87 minutes into the match, Ladislao Garate had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dabi Mendibuey. Valentines's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ladislao Garate was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Matia Unanue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislao Garate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dabi Mendibuey having to interfere. Velazquez's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
