Spectators: 6698 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1698, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Genaro Sirgo started the match with the kick off. In the 8thth minute of the game Genaro Sirgo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Victoria FC's Beturian Fuica was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Beturian Fuica made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calvino Solar in the 11th minute. Oihenarte Bueldi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobaldo Vicuña's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Oihenarte Bueldi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillen Ovies in the 18th minute of play. Calvino Solar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Beturian Fuica made a huge save. Genaro Sirgo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Beturian Fuica came out and tried to block the shot, but Genaro Sirgo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. Santo Gomez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oihenarte Bueldi. Canelones's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Guillen Ovies came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Victoria FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillen Ovies couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calvino Solar got free with Beturian Fuica in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Calvino Solar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Beturian Fuica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Sirgo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teobaldo Vicuña to strike the kick off in the second half. Victoria FC's Guillen Ovies got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 70 minutes, Calvino Solar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canelones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calvino Solar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beturian Fuica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvino Solar, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. If Calvino Solar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Victoria FC's zone, Calvino Solar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beturian Fuica came out of the goal and Calvino Solar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoria FC's Beturian Fuica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvino Solar in the 87th minute of play. Oihenarte Bueldi made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Guillen Ovies sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Teobaldo Vicuña took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Oihenarte Bueldi to make any attempt to save it. If Calvino Solar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Canelones were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Victoria FC for a fine match.
