Nereo Elvira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Quiroga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clementi Cuellar kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Novillos's Seguinus Santaren got a free kick in the 21st minute. After having played for 31 minutes, William Peredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerro Oriental's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Peredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Feo Heces was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Novillos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerro Oriental the free kick. After 34 played minutes Novillos got a freekick which was hit by Feo Heces. Rami Santa was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Joaquim Perez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joaquim Perez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 42nd minute Vincent Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Elvira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William Peredes made a kick off. Novillos's Rami Santa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Peredes in the 61st minute of play. Cerro Oriental's Nereo Elvira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Cerro Oriental from getting a goal against them. In the 71st minute Emenon Artaza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Elvira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that William Peredes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rami Santa was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Rami Santa came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cerro Oriental's Telis Briakos. But to his dismay, Telis Briakos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 78th minute Joaquim Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rami Santa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Primo Espriu fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novillos's protests and gave Primo Espriu a yellow card for diving instead. Primo Espriu kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Vincent Quiroga struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Nereo Elvira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Novillos. Nereo Elvira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emenon Artaza in the 84th minute of the match. Nereo Elvira made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Vincent Quiroga sent off a good shot on target. Jakobe Giralte charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jakobe Giralte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cerro Oriental booed when Novillos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakobe Giralte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cerro Oriental's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
