Frasco Zarzuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Zeledon Torcida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 6 minutes, Cerilo Durante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Araujo and the Priero players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cerilo Durante kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ler Oñaederra in the 8th minute of play forced Priero's goalkeeper Nestor Quintarnaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Priero's goalkeeper Nestor Quintarnaya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ler Oñaederra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Quintarnaya having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cordaryal Segurola in the 18th minute of play forced Priero's goalkeeper Nestor Quintarnaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Araujo's Saturnino Ampuero got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ler Oñaederra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-1 became the score in the 38th minute when Ler Oñaederra elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Ampuero in the 41st minute of play forced Priero's goalkeeper Nestor Quintarnaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Saturnino Ampuero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes of play Araujo's Cerilo Durante was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Priero booed when Araujo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cerilo Durante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestor Quintarnaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ler Oñaederra in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ler Oñaederra made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ler Oñaederra notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Priero's Nestor Quintarnaya. Nestor Quintarnaya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Priero's Frasco Zarzuelo got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Javiar Randoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Nestor Quintarnaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Quintarnaya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Javiar Randoli in the 60th minute. Ler Oñaederra came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nestor Quintarnaya could save by the left post. Ler Oñaederra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Nestor Quintarnaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesareo Pazos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Quintarnaya having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Priero's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ler Oñaederra fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Araujo's Javiar Randoli got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Priero's Nestor Quintarnaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Priero from getting a goal against them. Cesareo Pazos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Priero's Nestor Quintarnaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Priero from getting a goal against them. When Ler Oñaederra came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Araujo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ler Oñaederra couldn't finish the play. Ler Oñaederra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Nestor Quintarnaya made a huge save. After 93 played minutes Priero got a freekick which was hit by Frasco Zarzuelo. The Priero fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Araujo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
