Pacifico Quejura struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Salvador Arciniega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vergara. Resto Berzosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pacifico Quejura in the 19th minute of play forced Ladrillos's goalkeeper Salvador Arciniega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Arciniega came out of the goal and Weterio Manes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salvador Arciniega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Resto Berzosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ladrillos's Salvador Arciniega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Resto Berzosa in the 45th minute of play. The Ladrillos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vergara were winning 0-1.

Juan-Alfredo Garandia came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Ladrillos's Roberto Argomedo. But to his dismay, Roberto Argomedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Resto Berzosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salvador Arciniega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telesforo Gamarra in the 63rd minute of the match. Juan-Alfredo Garandia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Argomedo in the 68th minute of play. Salvador Arciniega stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Resto Berzosa's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. 75 minutes into the match, Confesor Villaseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juan-Alfredo Garandia. Vergara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Confesor Villaseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 80 minutes into the match, Vergara's Resto Berzosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salvador Arciniega narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Olivar Arganzua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Resto Berzosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vergara's supporters rose to their feet, but Resto Berzosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Arciniega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juan-Alfredo Garandia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Argomedo in the 89th minute of the match. Roberto Argomedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan-Alfredo Garandia having to interfere. Salvador Arciniega was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Resto Berzosa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Resto Berzosa really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. 96 minutes into the match, Ladrillos's goalkeeper Salvador Arciniega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olivar Arganzua. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Vergara players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
