In the 16th minute Belasko Repuente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baiona Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Muno Nuevo scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Oñate, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 21 played minutes Montes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gil Pedrais. Baiona Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zelipe Ameztoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Belasko Repuente might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baiona Cortez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belasko Repuente ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabian Oñate came out of the goal and Muno Nuevo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Olazagoitia in the 94th minute of play forced Grecco's goalkeeper Fabian Oñate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Montes AFC had won after a very even match.
