Spectators: 6714 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 0) 2 minutes into the game, Txatxu Sarmiento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peñarol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canitas the free kick. Fidele Bonet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Belarmo Tercilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Belarmo Tercilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Manglano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fidele Bonet might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belarmo Tercilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fidele Bonet ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 16 minutes, Fidele Bonet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peñarol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fidele Bonet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramiro Manglano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Belarmo Tercilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Peñarol's goal looked a bit too open when Noe Varlett came free, but Raul Armendariz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erauso Machin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee gave Peñarol a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ramiro Manglano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Canitas's Belarmo Tercilla. 0-1. Canitas's Noe Varlett suffered a sore knee after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 35th match minute, Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Abeita to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Canitas's goal looked a bit too open when Berart Cendan came free, but Belarmo Tercilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Canitas's goal looked a bit too open when Fidele Bonet came free, but Belarmo Tercilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erauso Machin to strike the kick off in the second half. Fidele Bonet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Belarmo Tercilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Canitas's Ur Heneses got a free kick in the 58th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Crescencio Sisneros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canitas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peñarol the free kick. A collision led to Canitas getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Crescencio Sisneros hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Peñarol's Berart Cendan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Belarmo Tercilla. That made the score 0-2 after 64 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berart Cendan during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Canitas booed when Peñarol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berart Cendan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 minutes of play, Canitas's Erauso Machin made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raul Armendariz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Erauso Machin took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raul Armendariz. Raul Armendariz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Fidele Bonet's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Belarmo Tercilla firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 78 minutes Canitas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ramiro Manglano who took care of the corner kick. Canitas's Belarmo Tercilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Canitas from getting a goal against them. Belarmo Tercilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berart Cendan in the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txatxu Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. Dalmacio Cuezba kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Peñarol's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
