The supporters of Chuy booed when Platon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sarracino Laspron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lluques Lombera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christovao Carriazo in the 6th minute of play. When Cordearo Cortazar fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chuy's protests and gave Cordearo Cortazar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Chuy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordearo Cortazar to maneuver through the defense. If Katia Herrara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chuy's Michael Cerrajero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tipi Ciaran in the 13th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Chuy's goal looked a bit too open when Katia Herrara came free, but Michael Cerrajero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Chuy's Cordearo Cortazar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chuy's goalkeeper Michael Cerrajero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute Tipi Ciaran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Cerrajero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tipi Ciaran came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Platon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tipi Ciaran couldn't finish the play. Michael Cerrajero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Katia Herrara in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
