The referee ignored Montevideo AFC's protests and gave Niva Fariñada a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Niva Fariñada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lascano AFC's Esteve Corrillos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Montevideo AFC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ariel Aguilar during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, Hector-Luis Bachicabo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marcos Idalgo, passed just outside the right post. If Santana Vardeci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gaxan Posadas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tabor Calzada having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaxan Posadas in the 37th minute of play forced Lascano AFC's goalkeeper Tabor Calzada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39thth minute of the game Dodorol Cucurull who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lascano AFC's Tabor Calzada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dodorol Cucurull fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tabor Calzada having to interfere. When Dodorol Cucurull came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Montevideo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dodorol Cucurull couldn't finish the play. Freddy Norzagaray hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaxan Posadas to strike the kick off in the second half. Tabor Calzada was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Gaxan Posadas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gaxan Posadas really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. With a little luck, Lascano AFC's Tabor Calzada got control of the ball when Dodorol Cucurull tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Gaxan Posadas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montevideo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaxan Posadas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tabor Calzada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Lascano AFC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Leopoldo Cue hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Lascano AFC's goalkeeper Tabor Calzada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pepe Grandoso. Platon Toribia kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Tabor Calzada made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Dodorol Cucurull sent off a good shot on target. Lascano AFC's Tabor Calzada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Lascano AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 79th match minute, Montevideo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blanco Ciaño to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Santana Vardeci left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lascano AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector-Luis Bachicabo in the 86th minute of play forced Montevideo AFC's goalkeeper Marcos Idalgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santana Vardeci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Marcos Idalgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Gaxan Posadas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tabor Calzada. The goal made the score 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Montevideo AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
