Valdense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Froylan Robira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Joaquin Palmero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manni Fontecavada in the 66th minute of play. 0-5 became the score in the 67th minute when Aureo Solar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 71 played minutes Club Nacional De Futbol got a freekick which was hit by Orlanda Rosinos. The audience was convinced that Aureo Solar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mario Lazaeta was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. After 85 played minutes Valdense FC got a freekick which was hit by Imanol Rucabado. Aureo Solar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Mario Lazaeta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Valdense FC's Mario Lazaeta got control of the ball when Froylan Robira tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Aureo Solar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Froylan Robira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Froylan Robira struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Mario Lazaeta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Nacional De Futbol. Froylan Robira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Lazaeta having to interfere. Club Nacional De Futbol's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
