Lapuente's Txaran Liaño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xayveon Morquecho in the 14th minute of play. Txaran Liaño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xayveon Morquecho in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Milio Inestrosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lapuente's Txaran Liaño proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Lapuente from getting a goal against them. Javiar Hesles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Defensa were furious when Boniel Sampil was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Defensa getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Boniel Sampil hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Defensa defense, Hilario Aristeguieta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xarles Arruta. The Defensa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xarles Arruta should have stopped the shot. Weather Santirso's late challenge caught a Lapuente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Weather Santirso helped the player get up and apologised. Lapuente made a substitution. Cugat Llave replaced Waldir Basante. In the 39th minute of the match Hilario Aristeguieta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xarles Arruta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hilario Aristeguieta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Ricart Peñalba made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Lapuente's Marcelito Gill ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Xarles Arruta. Xarles Arruta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Ihazintu Veidazar scored 2-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Txaran Liaño, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Artemio Castelao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensa's supporters rose to their feet, but Artemio Castelao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Txaran Liaño breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ihazintu Veidazar in the 61st minute of play forced Lapuente's goalkeeper Txaran Liaño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Defensa's attentive Ihazintu Veidazar managed to snatch the ball when Castel Mateu made a throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 64th minute Ricart Peñalba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Txaran Liaño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Castel Mateu made in the 69th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Fernando Gandarias immediately put the ball in play. Cugat Llave kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Ricart Peñalba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Txaran Liaño having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Lapuente's goal looked a bit too open when Ricart Peñalba came free, but Txaran Liaño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 played minutes Defensa got a freekick which was hit by Weather Santirso. Defensa's Xarles Arruta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javiar Hesles in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute of the match Cugat Llave shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xarles Arruta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Xarles Arruta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Gallego in the 82nd minute of the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Ricart Peñalba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defensa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricart Peñalba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Defensa's Weather Santirso got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 93rdth minute of the game Weather Santirso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lapuente's Txaran Liaño was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ihazintu Veidazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
