Defensa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amanita Phalloides the free kick. Amanita Phalloides's Jerico Uja suffered a concussion after 41 minutes and had to leave the field. Velasco Sieira was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Defensa booed when Amanita Phalloides was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Millan Basurto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
